Our property is situated in a quiet neighborhood of Žrnovnica, a peaceful suburb 9km from the hustle and bustle of Split Old Town. With pool with 8 meters in length and 4 in width and Playstation 4 on 55" LCD screen you surely will not have a dull moment. For all other unforgettable experiences we stand at your disposal.
Villa Mint consists of 2 houses next to each other. First house(65 m2) has 2 bedrooms (1 king and 2 single beds), 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen. In the kitchen 6 people can be seated. Second house (35 m2) consists of 1 bedroom(2 single beds), 1 bathroom and one large living room. In the living room 6 people can be seated. Each room has its own air condition unit. Property is on a closed natural plot of 1450 square meters with boasting swimming pool of 8 meters in length and 4 meters in width heated by the Sun. There is a storage room behind the house with toilette and a laundry machine. There are always 2 parking spaces secured 50 meters from the property.

This brand new house built June 2022 is a joy to behold! It accomodates 5 people and offers a 25 square meters swimming pool and a jacuzzi. You can boast with your BBQ skills on the outside terrace; or show the world how good you are playing FIFA on PS5 inside the house. For those rainy nights- we recommend Netflix and chill on our 65” TV. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood 20min drive from hustle and bustle of Split.
The olive tree has always been present in Dalmatia. Our ancestors cultivated it as a basic food plant.
In addition to oil, as the most important and healthiest food for people from the Mediterranean, she also gave them fruits to eat and wood to survive the winter. Therefore, the olive's special and adored status, which it enjoys to this day, is not surprising.
We do not know the age of our oldest inherited olive trees, but we know that some of them have a trunk diameter greater than 2 meters.
OPG Markovina today grows around 1100 olive trees. All of them are located in the area of the village of Žrnovnica, on the slopes of Mosor. It is a field where olives have been cultivated for centuries. It is ideal because of its location, all-day exposure to the sun, and the wind, which almost always slides down the slopes of Mosor. As much as the wind sometimes bothers, especially a cold gale, it is the guarantor of the quality of our oil. Thanks to the wind, the usual diseases of olive trees caused by moisture, which brings with it a number of problems, do not occur. This is why we are lucky to be able to grow olives without the use of chemical agents to protect against diseases.
OLIVE OIL
In the olive grove, we have three varieties, Oblica, Levantinka (Šoltanka) and Leccino.
This selection of varieties is the result of 50 years of family experience.
Harvesting is done manually and all harvested olives must be processed into oil the same day. Everything is done with maximum hygiene and according to the rules of the profession. There is no compromise in order to get a few more drops of oil.
The processing procedure is "cold". The oil is stored in the basement, at 18 degrees in stainless steel tanks.
It is sold exclusively in dark glass bottles.
